Infographics for children in Kindergarten

Last night I spent an hour organizing study materials for my son, who is in Kindergarten. I bought several books for him to work on during the summer and I noticed that one of them included a simple bar chart, which is nice: we should teach children to read graphics as soon as possible, as proportional shapes seem more natural and inviting for the human brain than abstract figures. (I couldn't help but thinking, though, that if this piece had been designed by a newspaper artist, it could have ended up being a bubble chart---). Here it is:
