Motion graphic about evolution —with naughty teddy bear imagery

Maria Popova has just recommended this animation about evolution, made by Phillipp Dettmer. (Warning: if you have young kids, be ready to explain what the teddy bears are doing at 4'13'') As all my students learn how to draw vector illustrations, and some go on to teach themselves After Effects, Edge, or Tumult Hype, I'm collecting good examples of motion graphics to share with them. Dettmer's website is a great resource.

  1. Cheers,
Kurzgesagt is a great Youtube channel! I had the honour of doing the Portuguese subtitles for this video.
They only made a few videos so far, but I like all of them. Regarding data visualization, this is an interesting video about a dimension sometimes hard to visualize: time.
